Creating a strong mission is very important for us here at Birchwater Education. We want our students and staff to share the same goals and aspire to continually improve by having an open mind and a growth mindset.

Flow is about being flexible and being able to adapt. When the  world around us changes so fast, these are the skills that matter. Our approach to teaching and learning reflect that.

Growth is a state of mind that continues and endures. It's using the knowledge we learn to improve and to overcome obstacles. Growth is realising your full potential.

To know is to succeed. We aim to instil the 'know how' to be successful learners. When we know-how, obstacles become challenges which are embraced and overcome.

 

OUR LOCATION

 

Birchwater Education is situated in the heart of Limerick City in the most modern English langauge centre in the city - The Riverstone Clock Tower. Limerick City is situated by the River Shannon on the west coast of Ireland in close proximity to Shannon Airport and a short drive from Dublin, Cork and Galway. Limerick is an ideal location to study with its central location making it perfect for travelling along the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way with sites such as the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Dingle and Connemara, only a short drive away. 

 

Our Story

 

Our story is really just beginning and we are proud of that. Birchwater education has moved from an idea to a reality, from a thought to a physical presence. Founded in 2016 by Nora and Ian Gallagher, Birchwater Education is growing rapidly through hard work and persistence. Nora has been both a college director and principal with over 15 years experience in the education sector across post primary and tertiary level education. After teaching in Ireland and the UK, Ian has returned from over 6 years teaching and mentoring across Malaysia, Kazakhstan and China.

Situated in the heart of Limerick City, we offer a great selection of fully accredited courses for both local and international students. Our partners include NCC Education, Trinity College London & The Institute of Commercial Management. With close links to local and national colleges and universities, Birchwater Education is quickly becoming established in the Shannon region and across Ireland.

 

OUR EXPERIENCE

 

Our staff hail from a variety of backgrounds making the team dynamic and flexible as well knowledgeable across many areas. With courses in English as a Foreign Language, Business Management and Computing, our staff are all fully qualified to teach to the highest standards. Our staff have both industry and teaching experience allowing them to draw on a wealth of knowledge. Birchwater Education carefully selects quality teaching staff that aim to make a difference to their students' lives.
